Hey guys, how’s it going? Well today my family got back into our routine, we got up at 8 almost 9, headed to the living room and started our homeschooling activities. I love Mondays! We go nowhere! We wear our pajamas all day and learn, play and talk with each other. There is nothing better than this!!!

The next few days of this week will be like this and then the weeks after will have things added to them. My homeschool group, Las Vegas Valley Homeschool Group is having a community service project called Adopt a Grandparent that we will be involved in. What we have done is adopted a retirement home with the intention of making sure every resident there will receive a Valentine’s Day card on Valentine’s Day. All the cards will be made with love, kindness, and happiness. Would you like to join us? Drop me an email at lvvhsn@gmail.com and I will send you the details on where to send your Vday card before Vday.

Besides our homeschooling and this really fun community service activity, my oldest son will be headed to Hollywood to meet with casting agents in the near future, he is also going to be involved in another community play, Damn Yankees.

Well I need to go, my son is playing Clair de Lune and I would rather not hear the keyboard while he is playing.. Ck him out at www.broadwayweststudio.com or www.adamsimonkrist.com. He is indeed headed for bigger things..

Well gg

See ya next time..

Hey there, How’s your shopping going? While we are generally busy with our own families and now adding the commitments of the holidays to our schedules, its important to remember other families in our community that are having a really hard time right now.

Yes times are tighter, it’s tighter for like 90% of us, but we still need to find a way to help each other especially now. One way to do this is to create an Angel Tree with a group of friends. An angel tree is adopting a family or families for the holidays.

My homeschool group Henderson Homeschoolers and my nonprofit homeschool group, Las Vegas Valley Homeschool Network are doing this for December. We have heard of a family that is having an extremely hard time right now. Mr. and Mrs. Smith (obviously not their real name) have two sons ages 9 and 10, the younger one with autism . Mom homeschools the second child because our district is lacking in qualified special education teachers and the older one goes to school. Recently, Mr.and Mrs. Smith just had a third child, their newbie arrived early and is currently in NICU at a hospital across town. Because of one car and no extra cash for bus travel, Mrs. Smith relies on friends to go see their baby across town. Then the perverbial shoe dropped, Mr. Smith’s work hours were severely cut and they now have barely enough cash to put food on the table. How do you tell your kids that Christmas isn’t coming???

Our group wanted to help the Smith family. With each family giving as little as $10 and pooling it together, we will be able to get a gift card to a Walmart for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The Smith family will have a Christmas. Now how about taking the idea one step forward and creating your own Angel trees?
