1.Take inventory of what you already have in your pantry and freezer already..

2.Read the weekly ads put out by stores in your area. Circle the sale items found on the first two pages,

3.From the sale ads and the inventory of your pantry and freezer make your grocery list. Don’t plan on buying items that your family won’t eat.

4. Halt buying the purchase sodas, water, chips, ice cream and other snacks. If you can afford to keep them on your budget, put them down for one day a week or biweekly. That way no one feels deprived.

5. Skip the items that you can make at home. Plus it is healthier as there are no ingredients that are questionable.

7. Grow a garden. If you are new to gardening, try having a kitchen garden for just herbs.

8. Cook more at home. If you can make it then, don’t buy it.

9.Learn to can and dehydrate, this will help when items go on sale and you have a way to store them.

10. Make slightly bigger meals twice a days and a healthy snack in between meals.
