I can’t say I am building up a food storage, my family eats up what is in the pantry too quick. This canning project from our recent grocery trip (2x a month) provides more flexibility to what meals we eat and when during the week. It is especially nice when we have a long day from one our bi-monthly shopping trips Setting up my pantry with shelf stable items lets me go to the store less, and make many things faster. This is from my last large grocery trip a week ago, I would have completed it sooner but it was too hot being in the kitchen. Tonight I will be canning sweet potato and tomorrow apricot and apple sauce. 🙂
Most of this will be gone in a couple weeks…
9 quarts of ground beef
16 pints of pizza sauce
8 – 1/2 pints of fig jam
